I can deal with that using Mac Fan Control, and I hardly think it will be any heat issue for the HDD temperature since there is only one fan on the whole iMac. On the new hard drive it's not there, of course (even if the original is also a Seagate Barracuda). I ran into the thermal sensor/spinning fan issue because the original Apple HDD has a special firmware for the 27" late 2012. I went for a Seagate Barracuda (2016) 2TB 64 MB cache 3.5" HDD (ST2000DM006) which I fitted into the iMac 27" late 2012.
Is anyone using a similar computer/configuration and came up with the perfect solution? Or can I get some general super nice tips from you regarding how to setup and run Logic with the hard drives for optimal performance/value?

One way would be to use the spindrive for Logic projects and keep the SSD "clean" with more or less just the OS. What would be the best way to use it with Logic, specifically the SSD/HD's? It's not really affordable to upgrade the SSD since it is a 7 pin proprietary SSD and swapping the 1 TB spindisk would have me to deal with the fan issue/firmware that comes with this computer for the secondary drive. The computer has two Thunderbolts and four USB 3.0. You can use it in a fusion drive configuration, but I'm not. I have an iMac 27" i7 3.4 Ghz late 2012 with an proprietary SSD 121 GB (!) and a 1 TB seagate 7200 rpm spindrive.
